About us

„Domus Pacis“, the Franciscan House for Pilgrims has been established within the complex of the existing Friary. It is run by the Kaunas Friary of the Order of Friars Minor, commonly known as Franciscans.

Worshipping with the Friars

Monday to Friday Holy Mass at the chapel of the Friary at 18.00 hours (6.00 p.m.), on Saturday at 10.00 hours (10 a.m.) and on Sunday at 17.00 hours (5.00 p.m.)

Also Monday to Friday the Friars gather at the chapel for their liturgical evening prayers at 17.30 hours (5.30 p.m).

The Friars’ weekend schedule differs:
Liturgical morning prayers at the chapel on Saturday and Sunday at 8.30 hours (8.30 a.m.). Evening prayers on Sunday at 19.00 hours (7.00 p.m.)

Sunday 10.30 hours (10.30 a.m.) Holy Mass at St. George church. Opportunity for confessions from 10.00 hours (10.00 a.m.). If there is no priest in the confessional booth, ask the Friars who are getting ready for the Mass. Often confessions in English will be possible.

In winter the church of St. George is open to visitors only on Sundays from 10.00 to 14.00 hours (10.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m.)
